Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Picking Lead Associate. As a Picking Lead, you will report to the Inventory Control Operations Manager and are responsible for supporting the production lines and DC operational processes. The Picking Lead works closely with the Inventory Control Operations Manager and Production Manager to monitor production line needs, manage inventory discrepancies, finished goods put-away process and various other required tasks. The pay for this position is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities of a Picking Lead:
Monitor and delegate work orders according to schedule
Consistently monitor order picking progress for accuracy
Ensure pickers are performing their tasks in a timely fashion through picking metrics
Hold pickers accountable for their performance through progressive counseling process.
Monitor finished goods put-away from production to ensure timely put away and accuracy to the primary put away location.
Training new individuals according to the picking/put-away standardized operating procedures
Track and maintain all work orders to avoid service interruptions
Safely pick, stage and put-away product operating a powered lift truck
Monitors lift operators and holds them accountable for all safety policies and procedures.
Communication of status/performance to appropriate business channels
Supports other departments as needed
All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements:
Must have strong organizational and time management skills
Previous leadership experience leading a team is required
Strong communication skills a plus
Bilingual a plus
Great team player disposition
Ability to positively lead a team
Ability to hold others accountable for their performance
Prior experience with operating powered lift equipment a plus
Microsoft AX/D365 ERP or equivalent ERP experience a plus
Strong MS office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook a plus
Must be able to work OT/weekends when necessary
