Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:
• Weld MIG, TIG, FCAW, layout fit, and assemble machinery from specified prints to meet tolerances and quality standards.
• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
• Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
• Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Operate CNC and manual machines as needed.
• Perform all other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications / Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Certificate of completion from an accredited welding school
• At least 4 years of TIG, STICK, and MIG welding experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• CNC and manual machining experience preferred
• Must have a strong commitment to meeting customer requirements and continuous improvement
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
• Must be able to work independently while effectively communicating with manufacturing support areas
• Ability to read blueprint drawings and interpret geometric tolerance
• Experience working in a Lean organization a plus

The Welder Machinist must perform all duties and work in accordance with the Crane Nuclear Inc. Quality Assurance Manual and Procedures. Standard hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm.
