Job Description:
This position is responsible for participating in outreach activities for community residents who lack healthcare and health insurance access. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing enrollment and follow-up assistance by answering questions about health insurance coverage, assisting in healthcare coverage enrollment, and building/strengthening collaborative efforts and partnerships with community resources to increase awareness of health insurance coverage options. Small and large groups, virtual and in-person educational and promotional meetings. Schedule, Monday through Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm with occasional evening and Saturday hours and some local travel.
Job Requirements:
Outreach Specialist I: High School diploma or equivalent with three (3) years’ experiences in public health. Data entry and Microsoft Word experience.
Obtain Marketplace Navigator certification and licensure within three (3) weeks of hire. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License, minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of U.S citizenship or employment eligibility.
Healthcare Marketplace and marketing experience. Power Point, and Excel experience. Bilingual in Spanish.
