Job Description:
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible to see that the patient care needs are met. They must be able to handle emergency situations to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures. Monitor the quality of service and assure that standards are being met to comply with safety, public health, OSHA and HFAP regulations. Provides orientation and training for staff to meet requirements as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational
Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Illinois Licensed Practical Nursing license with biennial renewal.
Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Experience in Ambulatory Clinics, preferred.
DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal
Computer knowledge.
Ability to teach and direct other office personnel.
Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
Possess the ability to maintain the Standards of Conduct.
Ability to use the proper channels of communication.
