Job Description:

Summary: Performs general office duties such as filing, recording and ordering of supplies. Also serves as a backup to other office personnel.

Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

Assist in planning out the daily activities that relate to the department objectives and set targets.
Assist with managing and controlling stock.
Assigning and maintaining primary shipment that arrive and being shipped in department.
Research to improve any and all Returns operations according the department objective.
Communicate in a professional manner with customers and all levels of the organization.
Assists with implementation of goals and objectives.
Assisting with ensuring delivery, budget, and company objectives are met.
Assisting with communication with customers; via email, fax, and telephone.
Providing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis while ensuring deadlines are met.
High attention to detail to ensure accurate information is being provided to the management staff.
Maintain documentation pertaining to shipments such as bill of lading, manifest, log sheets and any other documents that are used by management to track in and outgoing loads.
Maintaining standards of safety and security in the work environment.
Logging and filling of invoices for supplies ordered.
Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.

Non-Essential Functions:

Knowledge of returns and distribution practices.
Proficiency with a computer including but not limited to Microsoft Office, AS400, and Iseries.
Must be able to shift priorities easily.
Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The work performed is in an office and factory environment
The employee is frequently exposed to dust and will be working around moving machinery
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels
Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment

Job Requirements:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of 2 years office experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to work flexible schedules as required which may include working off shifts and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in English, both oral and written communication
At least 1 year experience utilizing a warehouse management system

Language Skills:

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to speak with all levels of the organization
Ability to write routine reports

Mathematical Skills:

Must be proficient in mathematics
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
