Job Description:

The Election Judge plays a critical role in our democratic process. Election Judges protect the integrity of our elections and guarantee fair access to the ballot for all Will County Voters.

Job Requirements:

ELECTION JUDGE QUALIFICATIONS

Citizen of the United States.
Active registered voter in Will County.
Must cast ballot in a Primary Election for the party the judge will represent.
Speaks, reads, and writes in English language.
Must attend an Election Judge training class.
Must not be a candidate for any office in the election.
Must not be a Precinct Committeeperson.
Able to work from 5 a.m. until after the polls close at 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time.


STUDENT ELECTION JUDGES
High school students may qualify to be an Election Judge if they:

Are a high school junior or senior in good standing.
Maintain a GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.
Obtain written approval from principal, teacher, and parent.
Successfully complete the state required training session.
