Job Description:

Troy Township Assessor’s Office Seeking New Office Staff Members.

Full Time and Part-Time Positions Available for the Position of Office Clerk.

The office clerk will work under the direction of the Assessor and her Deputy. This position performs general administrative duties, helps performs field work, and helps to foster a positive and accessible environment for the public, staff and elected officials.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist our Troy Township residents with questions and assistance that may be need.
- Assist field staff coordinator with measuring new construction and gathering pertinent information.
- Assist with taxpayer exemptions and questions.
- Assist with drawing program and CAMA program maintenance.
- Assist with other duties deemed necessary.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must have a high school diploma, prior computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, ACCESS is a plus. Prior customer service experience is desired.


Employees are considered full time when working 40 hours per week. Benefits for full time employment include insurance (health, dental, and vision) and paid time off including holidays, vacation days, personal day, and sick days. All employees who are expected to work 1,000 hours or more in a 12-month period will automatically be enrolled in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension program.
