Job Description:

What you’ll do:
• Train, mentor and support digital production and proofreading/QC team members. Set expectations for team members and provides consistent feedback for team member’s professional growth.
• Plan and manage resource activities of a digital production team and its vendors, optimizing content quality, setting priorities that support business objectives, building scalability, and facilitating rapid digital product creation.
• Oversee and contribute to the production of multi-component digital products including ebooks, instructor materials and digital student supplements, as well as the proofreading of print products.
• Ensure digital products meet agreed-upon milestones and release dates and set clears expectations on standard timelines and deliverables.
• Stays informed of evolving accessibility requirements and ensure digital products meet current accessibility requirements.
• Lead cross-functional team meetings, help team members identify and address concerns, reach project consensus, and produce high-level solutions with proven results.
• Provide project management and fulfillment support for digital products as well as proofreading and quality control projects.
• Oversee relationships with eBook distributors and retailers.
• Identify potential synergies across print and digital production to help improve speed-to-market.
• Identify and manage issues and risks related to project schedule and team success, contributing efforts towards resolutions.
• Develop the test plan and workflow for eBook QA and determines success criteria.
• Document and manage workflow improvement projects within the team and more broadly across the organization, as needs arise.

Job Requirements:

What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in digital production.
• Demonstrated experience and problem-solving skills with maintaining digital applications.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and leading process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to mentor and coach team members.
• Experience leveraging automation to improve speed-to-market.
• Understanding of PC operating systems and software on web-based applications, including Creative Cloud (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Experience with XML, XHTML, CSS, epub.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm.
