National Tube Supply, a leading metals service centers specializing in carbon and alloy tubular products is seeking a Maintenance Manager, with the ability and willingness to roll up their sleeves to help the team and get the job done, for our University Park, IL location.

This position is responsible for leading, guiding, and participating in highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Employee will perform maintenance on equipment such as overhead cranes, bandsaws, coldsaws, hydraulic packaging tables and mobile equipment.

Job duties include but not limited to:
Manage maintenance employees across three shifts of the University Park warehouse
Develop PM schedules and support remote locations across the country
Work with remote warehouses to develop vendor base
Manage maintenance costs in University Park and assist in budgeting across all locations
Secure multiple quotes for large Capex projects
Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions
Lead, evaluate, and develop a robust maintenance department through hands on training
Identify training needs and assure completion of required and suggested maintenance training
Conduct Performance reviews for maintenance staff

Job Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical Systems
Overhead crane, side loader, and forklift
Trouble shooting and diagnosing equipment issues
Reading schematics, electrical and hydraulic
Safety equipment needed to perform work safely
Lock out – Tag out, crane and mobile equipment safety
Knowledge of computer programs for running equipment
Required measurement equipment
Project Management

Successful applicants will have 7-10 years of experience. They will also be required to complete a post-offer Hair Follicle Drug Screen (approx. 3-6 month window) and background check.
