Job Description:

Providing psychological services to court-involved youth and their families for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court (detained and out-of-custody youth). Maintaining a routine caseload of youth requiring varying levels of psychotherapeutic interventions. Providing psycho-educational group therapy with detained youth. Providing mental health consultation during disciplinary reviews and providing segregation check services with youth in detention. Providing crisis management services to detained youth and participating in an on-call rotation for crisis needs. Completing mental health intakes with detained youth. Providing court testimony when necessary. Assisting in case management duties when assigned. Participation in group supervision of students within the training program (probation and detention departments). Providing didactic training to students within the training program. Facilitating mandatory and non-mandatory mental health in-service trainings for RVDC and Will County Court Services staff members. Maintaining adequate records of all clinical work as outlined under the ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) and RVDC protocol. Adhering to all American Correctional Association (ACA) and National Commission on Correctional Health (NCCHC) standards. Finally, the mental health clinician may also complete special projects as indicated by the Chief Psychologist

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work; current and active license to practice in the State of Illinois (LCPC or LCSW)
