The right candidate will be able to identify and select diverse programs of interest specifically for adults in the community; and, be able to identify changing patron needs and future programming trends in libraries and adapt them for use at our Library.

In this position, you can draw from the network of established presenters who have new program ideas, the myriad of presenters who reach out to the Library looking to offer an event, program ideas from other libraries and local library email lists who routinely share suggestions for successful adult programs. Additionally, there is an opportunity for creativity to explore programs never offered for adults here before.

Responsibilities include:
*Identifies, selects, coordinates and hosts adult programs and events within the Library and throughout the community, both virtually and in-person.
*Coordinates presenter fees within a defined budget.
*Plans and prepares indoor and outdoor program spaces for presenters including setting up tables and preparing technology equipment.
*Creates and distributes print and online promotional materials.

Job Requirements:

At least two years completed at a higher education institution and program planning or relevant experience.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position, 20-24 hours per week with paid lunch, including evenings and weekends. Compensation is $18.29/hr plus retirement pension through Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) and pro-rated vacation and sick time benefits.
