1. Responsible for client recruitment in Will and Grundy County.
2. Responsible for volunteer recruitment, orientation, training, and placements in Will and Grundy County.
3. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.


1. Responsible for follow through on client referrals, completing assessments and monitoring volunteer/client placements.
2. Attends initial meetings with volunteer and clients and provides orientation to clients regarding the program, generally in the client’s home.
3. Coordinates and facilitates pre-service orientation and in-service instruction of volunteers.
4. Ensures that all volunteers and clients follow established program policies and procedures.
5. Informs Program Manager of any challenges, problems, or concerns in a timely manner.
6. Review and approve volunteer timesheets, ensuring that they are ready for monthly billing process.
7. Maintains program records to ensure compliance with agency, funding source and accreditation standards; ensures program data integrity is maintained and monitored.
8. Maintains ongoing contact with clients, volunteers and program advisory council.
9. Represents the agency and provides information about and promotes program through active participation with community agencies/organizations; maintains cooperative working relationships with a variety of community organizations and agencies.
10. Assists in the formal and regular recognition of volunteers, organizations and individuals who have contributed support to the Program.
11. Accurately maintains appropriate computer database, client and volunteer file records.
12. Maintains awareness of current information on programs and services available to older adults and persons with disabilities.
13. Attend staff meetings, conferences and training programs as recommended by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position with preferences in areas of human service related or business field or three (3) years of relevant experience. All degrees must come from a regionally accredited educational institution which has U.S. Department of Education approval.
2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in human services, volunteer management, banking or similar environment; experience with older adults or disability services is preferred.
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and constructively with persons from all racial, diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds.
4. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
5. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
6. Passage of complete background clearance, physical and Tuberculosis (TB) Test.
7. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, has adopted and follows the Codes of Ethics established by Catholic Charities USA, the National Association of Social Workers and the American Psychological Association. As an employee of the Agency you are expected to support these codes to the extent doing so is consistent with and allowed by applicable law.
8. A valid driver’s license, reliable means of transportation and proof of liability insurance is required.
