WALCO Tool & Engineering is looking for highly skilled CNC Machinists Lathe for our Romeoville, IL location.

Position Description:

Successful candidate must be able to setup and operate CNC Lathe equipment - materials include low carbon & alloy steel, cast iron castings, 300 & 400 series stainless steel bar stock & castings, aluminum, etc. Perform highly diversified and complex turning, boring, drilling and tapping of products under computer control. Load parts, cycle machine, and detect worn or damaged cutting tools. Run production lots, inspect work, communicate with co-workers regarding production runs. Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Training for this position will happen on 1st shift (day shift Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)

Position is for our Afternoon shift (Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)

Job Requirements:

Position Requirements:

5+ years set-up and operation of CNC lathe equipment
Must be capable/have experience working with various materials
Able to use correct holding devices - 3 jaw hydraulic chucks, collet chucks, & fixtures. Also utilize steady rest and/or tailstock
Capable of maintaining turning tolerances - General +/- .001" to +/- .005" and some +/- .0005"
Surface finishes - 125, 63, 32, 16 RA
Have the ability to follow written work instructions
Must be able to do multiple setups daily
Fluent in G & M codes
Okuma control experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be eligible for employment in the U.S.
