Job Description:

Ensures the VIP guest experience exceeds expectations, providing a memorable dining experience. • Maintains decorum of the VIP Lounge with a positive attitude and overall demeanor that reflects the customer service goals of the company.
• Provides timely, accurate and courteous food and beverage service to all guests while maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Follows all cash handling procedures as described in department specific cash handling procedures and internal controls. Assures all food and drink orders are properly entered correctly into point of sale system.
• Must have an understanding of the food, and ingredients, served in the Laurel Lounge. Ability to suggest and describe available wines and beverages.
• Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable environment at all times. • Must be alert, attentive and responsive to VIP guests at all times.
• Maintains a respectful and professional demeanor with VIP guests, and team members, at all times • Performs all side-work duties as described for assigned shift. Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to all service standards, as well as department and company policies and procedures.
• Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
• Abides by all laws pertaining to service and sale of alcoholic beverages as provided in property alcohol management program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years wait staff and bartending service experience required.
• Ability to balance a service tray.
• Prior service experience in an upscale restaurant/lounge.
• Requires knowledge of operating point of sale.
• Knowledge of wine service, drinks, recipes and garnishes.
• Successful completion of alcohol management training.
• Excellent customer service skills. Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality.
• Must have exemplary verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, neat and clean appearance.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends. Must be able to work overtime either before or after their shift, and sometimes on short notice.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Position requires 50% standing, 50% walking.
• Requires frequent bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching overhead.
• Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
• Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 (ten) hours in length.
• Must be able to work in crowded, noisy, or otherwise stressful environments.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.
