Job Description:
This position is part of the Will County R3 Collaborative Grant that creates a network of legal, mental health, and case management services available to Will County residents through a partnership between eight community agencies and the County. This unique network is focused on restorative justice and healing in the community, with emphasis on communities primarily impacted by socioeconomic and racial disparities in the County.
Roles and Responsibilities
-Welcome clients; determine nature and purpose of the visit
-Explain intake process to those seeking legal services; Set up appointments
-Answer all incoming calls for the legal team, provide basic agency information, take and relay messages to staff
-Assist in compiling client demographic data for grant reporting purposes
-Maintain data integrity of files, reports, and information systems and databases
-Produce highly sensitive and secure documents, especially translations between English and Spanish
-Assist with planning outreach events as a liaison between service providers

Job Requirements:
Experience and Qualifications
-Demonstrate sensitivity for low-income, multicultural, and non-English speaking people
-Ability to translate, read, and speak between English and Spanish, fluently and accurately
-Work experience in legal field or other social service is preferred
-Associate’s degree is the minimum requirement, bachelor’s degree in social science or humanities preferred
