Job Description:

What you’ll do:
• Identify and implement technology and process improvements to gain efficiencies, reduce cost, and improve profitability.
• Develop content standards to ensure content is optimally structured for reuse across channels, products, and platforms.
• Optimize workflow to streamline preproduction and production of product for both print and digital mediums.
• Oversee the development and implementation of content architecture standards to structure content for reuse.
• Oversee quality assurance to meet quality and usability requirements.
• Ensure content meets industry standards (LTI) and end user requirements for interoperability and grading.
• Lead the development, implementation and training around content development best practices to enable efficient workflows, support content reuse, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Inform and address editorial, production, and digital workflow practices to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and other quality assurance and compliance practices.
• Identify opportunities to outsource and oversee the selection and management of partnerships with outside vendors.
• Partner with the Digital Media team to develop and support internal and external requirements for content, platforms, tools, and integrations.
• Partner with Editorial team to support content management and product delivery requirements.
• Oversee the development and management of departmental budgets.

Job Requirements:

What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor degree from a four-year college or university required.
• Ten or more years in the Educational publishing industry leading digital and print production.
• Proven ability to lead and manage high performing teams.
• Demonstrated success in leading initiatives to identify and implement content architecture best practices, process improvement initiatives and technology implementations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deep understanding of publishing workflows and automation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and change.
