Job Description:

SUMMARY
Coordinates, supervises, and manages all maintenance related activities for both of the Company’s facilities and our warehouse location, with minimal direct supervision. These activities are listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following list. Other duties may be assigned.
• Maintains a safe work environment and conformance to all safety, environmental, customer, and cGMP requirements as specified by Operations Management.
• Manages and facilitates workflow for all of the Maintenance Technicians. Sets goals and expectations for execution of every related task, and tracks performance against those standards.
• Manages and executes corporate PM and WO systems for area of responsibility.
• Orders all parts and services as needed to maintain the facilities and processes within.
• Creates and manages project plans as needed for complex equipment installation, building modifications, etc.
• Coordinates internal and external resources in fulfilling PM and WO functions.
• Recommends and implements actions to improve operations related to core responsibilities.
• Interfaces directly with Engineering and Operations and communicates effectively in verbal and written form.
• Provides team leadership in meeting the Company’s quality and production goals.
• Takes on an internal customer focused “service” approach to activities.
• Provides assistance to Operations and Engineering when called upon, or when need is observed.
• Manages long-term goals for the department and its personnel and addresses gaps where needed.
• Manages employee development and disciplinary actions.
• Creates, edits, revises standard operating procedures, as needed, for maintenance functions.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM SKILLS
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, 3+ years supervising staff.
• Know how to troubleshoot and maintain a variety of plant and process equipment. Including motors, air compressors, chillers, HVAC, drive units, water delivery equipment, electrical equipment, motor starters, switches, etc.
• Familiar with basic mechanical design and able to read and modify mechanical and process drawings.
• Familiar with basic electronics and simple controls. Be able to effectively read and use electrical schematics and control diagrams for installation, troubleshooting and maintenance. Able to install simple electrical services and controls. Broad level understanding of electrical codes a plus.
• Must be computer literate and able to effectively and efficiently use software tools.
• Must be able to solicit quotes from vendors and contractors, generate and submit requisitions for parts and labor necessary to fulfill the activities described.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED, PLUS 1 to two years of vocational school combined with 10 or more years of job experience in a manufacturing, tool & die, or mechanic shop OR 15 or more years of job experience in a manufacturing, tool & die, or mechanic shop. HVAC and/or electrical certifications are desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently. Must be able to read and understand technical procedures, descriptions, instructions, and protocols. Fluency in Spanish a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
In order to adequately perform the activities and fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.

PERSONAL SKILLS
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and perform with a high level of integrity and maturity in all situations. Must be flexible with hours and location and adjust either with short notice when necessary.
