Job Description:

What you’ll do:
• Manage all processes related to instructional material bids and purchase agreements.
• Conduct and coordinate product submissions to local school districts, state boards of education, government agencies, and private industry for instructional material review and selection.
• Accurately execute responses to RFPs, bid requests, and purchasing contracts for instructional materials prior to deadlines.
• Draft, Review, and Revise sales contracts and agreements as needed.
• Manage all sales and adoption contracts in a server repository and in the Bookmaster computer system.
• Develop and implement a system or process to enable timely reuse of information from previous bid or contract submissions.
• Communicate effectively with state and local textbook directors and coordinators as well as purchasing and contract managers.
• Participate in presentations to instructional materials review committees.
• Attend relevant State Board of Education meetings, in person or virtually, as needed, to ensure successful submission of adoption materials and to ensure knowledge of the most current state processes across the country.
• Work with editorial departments to plan product submissions for state and district instructional material adoptions several years in advance.
• Coordinate instructional material presentations and promotional needs with marketing staff.
• Track all bid and adoption submission expenses and results.
• Proactively seek out new bid and proposal opportunities to bring business to G-W.
• Supervisor, collaborate with, and provide continual training for the Contracts and Proposals Assistant.
• Assign relevant Bid or Request For Proposal (RFP) assignments to the Sales Contracts and Proposal Assistant and provide accountability and tracking for completion of these tasks.

Job Requirements:

What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Management required.
• Ten years of contract and bid management experience required.
• Sales or Marketing experience with state instructor material adoptions may be considered in lieu of contract or bid experience.
• Five years of experience working with state instructional material adoptions preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proven problem solver abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
• Familiarity with the use of other software platforms to track or submit bid information.
