Job Description:

The Material Handler organizes, sorts, and prioritizes core material ensuring that product is processed within the customer’s specified time. Move freight, stock, and other materials to staging and processing areas using a Powered Industrial Truck.

*Operate a fork truck to lift, move or hoist materials from the receiving area to the work area
*Perform set-up and material handling duties
*Support and ensure First In First Out method is maintained
*Follow approved work instructions

Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. The Material Handler will be required to stand 30%, walk 40% and sit 30% of the work day. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

Job Requirements:

Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses, and Face Masks are required for all employees.

*1 year experience using forklifts
*PREFERRED: Experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse environment

*Attention to Detail: Close attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks, detecting problems and reporting information accordingly
*Independence: Developing one’s own way of doing things, guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done
*Communication: Competent oral and written communication as appropriate for the needs of operational processes and interacting with other employee owners.
*Organization: Time management, attention to detail, ability to multi-task *Basic Math: effectively use basic math to solve problems (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
*Technology: Solid computer proficiency with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Windows based programs. Ability to use scanners and other technology for inventory purposes

*Must be extremely reliable, responsible, dependable, in order to fulfill *Practice adaptability, with a growth mindset and willingness to learn
*Embrace opportunities to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training & education
*Participate in continuous improvement processes
*Engage and support Logistics’ safety culture and efficient operation of the business and maintain positive working relationships with employees across the organization.
*Participate in and support the principles of Great Game of Business and Open Book Management


Starting Pay is $14.50/hour
