Job Description:

The Project Assistant works independently with minimal supervision using a sound judgment to make responsible decisions and manage time to accomplish work. The primary functions of this position are to: Track data that demonstrates the successful implementation of the project. Prepare data for weekly, monthly and quarterly summaries as assigned. Maintain records as required. Design reports summarizing data and prepare charts that visually communicate the result. Assist Program Manager with report preparation and payroll. Collaborate with Will County Workforce staff to provide timely documentation. Develop successful recruitment plans to find more recovery coaches to meet grant requirements. Write ads and Facebook posts to attract Recovery coaches to training program. Communicate information about project across multiple media platforms. Maintain ongoing communication with Director, Project manager and participating partners, and grant agency as appropriate. Assist Director of Substance Use Initiatives and Project Manager with all other activities needed for the successful completion of the grant as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of addiction and the opioid crisis in Will County. Works independently with minimal direction to accomplish assignments. Effectively communicates in writing and verbally. Knowledge and experience with Excel and charts. The ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust
workload as necessary. Knowledge of the community, recovery community and potential partners and participants. Ability to work with a diverse population including people from different cultural, ethnic, socio-economic and educational backgrounds. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of three years’ experience. Some college desired. Bilingual desired. Valid Illinois driver’s license with statutory insurance. The working conditions of the job vary day to day. Ability to travel throughout Will County with frequent attendance at outside meetings, visiting participating agencies and meeting with the Recovery Coaches. Occasional evening and weekend work.
