Job Description:

The primary role of the Account Executive is to recruit new members by promoting the benefits and opportunities of Chamber membership. Additional responsibilities can be found below.
• Build and retain strong and long-lasting relationships through multiple contact methods
• Establish positive working relationships with current members to support retention
• Arrange visits for management at key employers/investors/industry leaders
• Develop, implement and maintain a personal sales action plan
• Submit and review a weekly and monthly member contact report
• Develop and maintain adequate prospect list and assist with management of proper current member record keeping in CRM software
• Collaborate with other departments on marketing and business development needs of the member
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new member investors, making sure they’re optimizing full benefits
• Attend all member related Chamber functions such as member events, ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours and other such events for recruitment purposes as well as member retention and good will
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Chamber’s mission and how it directly applies to existing and prospective members
• Oversee a team of Chamber Ambassadors who assist in the process of communicating with new and current members
• Manage and promote participation in a weekly Chamber referral group
• Plan and perform member orientation sessions to ensure full utilization of opportunities
• Participate in the process of surveying members to determine if needs are being met
• Represent the Chamber at various community functions to proactively promote membership
• Work closely with events staff to coordinate ribbon cutting ceremonies and other member events
• Work closely with marketing and communications staff to fully promote positive aspects of Chamber membership
• Provide assistance with additional Chamber programs, events, etc. as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time in a fast-paced environment
• A highly networked individual that understands referral marketing strategy for sales
• Commitment to customer service and appreciation
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a team player
• Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and use sound judgement
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or related field is preferred
• Minimum of two to three years of membership or outside sales experience preferred
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible to work evening and some weekend hours as needed
• Dependable transportation



The Account Executive will receive a competitive wage including commission. We also offer vacation, health insurance, and a retirement program to full-time employees. Travel reimbursement is also provided.
