Job Description:

PURPOSE OF ROLE: Production Operator (I) employee is responsible for maintaining and meeting all production goals as well as productivity, to obtain complete customer satisfaction through production value, and employee effectiveness.
• Follow packaging instructions to properly complete a pack out.
• Assist with the cleaning of equipment and other department cleaning procedures.
• Review and complete assigned work orders.
• Assist with the general assembly of boxes and other required packages.
• Assist with the warehouse, production, and rail yard sanitation.
• Inspect product to identify and remove contaminations.
• Assist with floor loads and other restacking projects.
• Assist with work orders for repacks. i.e. Box to bag, Box to box, Super sack to box.
• Assist with railcar/container hook-ups.
• Assist with box/super sack to bulk truck repacks.
• Assist with the departments recycling program including gathering and bailing of
corrugated cardboard, liners, super sacks etc.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; three months or more related experience and/or training; or
comparable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand documents such as work orders, packaging request, safety
rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine correspondence. Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to maintain machinery necessary to perform a specialized task.
• Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Must be able to work closely with co-workers as a team.
• Must be able to accept direction.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty


Full Time non-exempt employees are expected to work an average of 40 hours per week and will be eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 hours.

Participation in the Ravago Americas LLC Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life and Disability Plans. All full time regular employees working at least 30 hours per week will be eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Participation in the Ravago 401(k) Savings Plan that includes a Company "Safe-Harbor" matching contribution. 401(k) Eligibility is the first of the month following 3 months of employment.

Paid time off with first year prorated based on start date.
