Job Description:

RESPONSIBLE TO: Production Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES: Pull shirts and pants from rail and place on the conveyor by route number or account number in a manner that ensures safety and high quality. Operator must perform efficiently and meet the standards.


1. Pull garments from rails on previous sort and send by proper route and day sequence.

2. Sort garments by: 1st sort - Route number.

2nd sort - Last digit on I.D. tape.

2. Hang garments on proper hook on the sort conveyor - 1st sort 1,200 per hour.

2nd sort 1,000 per hour.

4. Pull garments with defects, rips, holes, buttons missing, etc. Repair and return to flow. Minimize re-work for next sort or wrap out by accurately sorting garments. Our internal customer will monitor this

Job Requirements:


A. Stand- Stand eight hours per day.

B. Lift- Lift repetitively up to 15 pounds, individual lifts up to 80 pounds.

C. Dexterity- Perform job functions, having hand and wrist dexterity at or above productivity standards set by management.

D. Reach- Reach 20 - 60 inches in length while standing at table.

E. Push- Push carts on wheels up to 350 pounds.

F. Count- Keep track of all numbers, specials, etc.

G. Temperature- Withstand extreme temperatures in summer and winter.

2. Housekeeping

A. Cleanliness- Keep area neat and organized, i.e., clear of debris, dirt, and dust.

Sweep floor daily.

3. Communication Skills

A. Listening & Oral Communication- Communicate through use of listening and

oral communication. Use information from oral communication and participate in

meetings, discuss problems, and ask questions to obtain information.

4. Interpersonal Skills

A. Compatibility- Be compatible with Cintas culture through integrity, a strong

work ethic, goal attainment and attention to detail.

B. Sensitivity- Show consideration for the feelings and needs of others by use of

interpersonal skills.

5. Decision Making

A. Decision-Making- Make decisions regarding quality requirements.

6. All Other Duties

A. All Other Duties- Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out

responsibilities, performing duties, using skills and working conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks
