Job Description:

The I.T. Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting network and I.T. operations across the 9-1-1 enterprise. They provide technical skills and expertise to ensure effective and uninterrupted delivery of mission-critical network services and applications to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and public safety customers. Monitors, maintains, optimizes, and enhances the 9-1-1 network, operating systems, and hardware with emphasis on security and reliability.

Job Requirements:

Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with five to seven (5-7) years’ experience in I.T. operations or network administration in a government or public safety environment. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job, may be substituted at the discretion of the hiring authority.
