Job Description:

Summary of Position: This position is designed to provide diversified marketing and communications duties and assistance to the Chamber staff, committees, and membership.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and Implement annual marketing plan
• Responsible for implementing all strategies to achieve annual goals in plan
• Work with web design firm on site updates
• Production of collateral material from concept to completion
• Develop news releases and work with media outlets
• Schedule and produce email marketing campaigns
• Maintain social media program
• Prepare monthly newsletter
• Video production and editing
• Assist in special events and additional programs and events as needed
• Maintain confidentiality
• Perform duties as assigned

Position Title: Marketing & Communications Director (approximately 24 hours per week)

Reports to: Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry President and Vice President

Job Requirements:

Qualifications/Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field
• Familiarity with current technology for graphic design
• Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Web- based Communications
• Innovative
• Personable/Punctual
• Superb writing skills
• Excellent communication with co-workers and members
• Collaborates and works well with others
• Possesses excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance, outgoing and friendly disposition
• Working knowledge of businesses and organizations
• Working knowledge of Joliet and area
• Superb organization skills
• Self-directed and capable of handling multiple tasks
• 2 – 5 years of professional experience preferred
• Actively promotes and personally observes safety, security and confidentiality procedures and uses equipment responsibly
