Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Corporate Human Resources department located in Romeoville, IL.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Manage the company’s employee health insurance benefit program. This includes compliance with all regulatory requirements, such as COBRA and annual government disclosure requirements, processing monthly billing to insurance carriers. The HR Manager works closely with our insurance broker to manage our benefit plans and resolve issues.
• Manage the annual open enrollment process, which includes but is not limited to:
? Implementing benefit changes;
? Creating/delivering employee presentations and other communications;
? Setting up the online employee self-service open enrollment process in ADP;
? Responding to employee questions and resolving issues.
• Oversee the company’s recruitment function – provide recruitment advice to managers, ensure compliance with our affirmative action plan.
• Develop and maintain the company’s affirmative action plan; communicate progress toward our affirmative action goals to management.
• Manage the performance management process.
• Develop and deliver HR training as needed, utilizing purchased training on our Learning Management System where appropriate.
• Enforce company policies and communicate new and updated policies to employees.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, such as EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting, FMLA notifications, etc.
• Respond to employee relations issues; counsel managers as appropriate. This includes conducting formal investigations when necessary.
• Supervise HR Generalist.


Job Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human resources field, and/or a PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification with equivalent work experience. The position also requires a minimum of 5-7 years functional experience in a human resources generalist or management role. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, including presentation and facilitation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred. Safety and Workers Compensation experience is a plus.
