Job Description:

• Utilize computer scan system (Ritetime) to record work hours, breaks and lunches
• Utilize Fourth Shift to print orders
• Proficient with the abilities to print, read and fill out the shipping pick list
• Prepares for packing by selecting and assembling appropriate sized box
• Proficient with the in and out of the shipping software, FedEx, UPS, DHL, CH Robinson and etc.…

• Prepares shipments, determines most economical and efficient shipping method, selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
• Abilities to palletize, shrink-wrap, and strap down packages to a pallet.
• Prepares bills of lading; checks items shipped against picklist to ascertain that quantities, destination, and ship to address are correct
• Utilize software for reverse shipping orders when necessary
• Utilize software to ship, track, and route orders
• Verify all international shipment documentation is accurate such as, BOL, Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Certificate Of Origin, SLI (shippers letter of Instruction), and correct Tariff Codes are used.

Quality Control:
• Verifying items picked from inventory against the picklist are accurate
• Perform quality control check on all shipped orders to ensure the meet Therafin and customers specifications

Inventory management:
• Perform cycle count of finished products in shipping on a quarterly basis
• Perform moving of inventory locations, adding and removing stock from inventory in Fourth Shift
• Ensure shipping supplies are in stock and restock when needed (Boxes, labels, envelopes, packing paper, air pillows). Anticipate and order needed supplies

Job Requirements:

• Competent in carrying out complex technical instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• Competence to define & solve shipping issues that arise adhering to standard practices
• Competent in the use of pallet jacks, dollies, shrink wrap machine, forklift, tape machine, box cutter, scales and like equipment
• Competent in the use of sound judgment to apply solutions and adapt work processes, advising changes to supervisor.
• Competent in respectfully communicating information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
• Competent in utilizing various shipping software including Fourth Shift
• Competent in teaching and coaching shipping clerks- alerting supervisor of personnel issues
• At least 2-3 year previous experience in a shipping role
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic Knowledge of computer operation
• At least 2-3 years previous experience in operating a forklift
• Knowledge of how to use FedEx, UPS and DHL online software
