Job Description:

Responsible to the Director of Enviromnental Health. Position requires supervision and coordination of personnel engaged in Enviromnental Health Services and related
activities including professional and support staff. Reviews official directives to
ascertain such data as changes prescribed in Environmental Health. Plans or conducts, or arranges for, indoctrination and training of assigned personnel. Candidate will also assist with budget preparation and the management of appropriated funds, organization for state audits, the Environmental Health annual report, Board of Health end of month statistics, summary of dates, phone tree, participation in staff related meetings.

Job Requirements:

A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Enviromnental Health, Biological
Science, or Physical Science and be registered as a Licensed Environmental Health
Practitioner, in accordance with the provisions of the LEHP Act, by the State of Illinois or reciprocal State required and have three (3) years' experience in Enviromnental Health Field. Or accredited Bachelor's Degree in Enviromnental Health, Biological Science, or Physical Science and be a LEHP, in accordance with provisions of the LEHP Act, by the state of Illinois or reciprocal State required and have minimum of five (5) years'
experience in the environmental health field.

Verification of U.S. citizenship, or employment eligibility. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver's License, with minimum auto liability insurance and personal vehicle in operable condition.

Desired: Management experience.
