Job Description:

Candidates will sit at their own work station and will install wires onto panel boards using basic hand and power tools (pliers, screwdrivers, etc.)

-Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions to assemble panel boards for locomotives

-Strip insulation from wire ends and crimp/solders wires to connectors and terminals.

-Wrap wire identification tags around wires.

-Loops wire along tie bars or other method of forming and securing on panel, following component layout, diagram, or wire list.

-Wrap and ties wire together at designated points to form harness.

-Apply wires to specific equipment following wiring diagram or wire list.
Inspect for damage and replaces defective wire.
Lift up to 40lbs.

Position is a first shift from 7:00am-3:30pm (minimal overtime)

Job Requirements:

1+ years of Assembly experience within a manufacturing experience
Experience utilizing basic hand and power tools
Ability to read and basic diagrams (similar to furniture assembly diagrams)
Ability to identify simple information on Work Orders, wire list, equipment list and Drawings
Candidates that have machine operating, quality control and manufacturing or assembly experience but it is not absolutely necessary
