Job Description:

Perform preventative and reactive repairs to tractors and trailers
Preventative Maintenance including lube, filters, interior/exterior, tire inspection, (tread inflation, rotation , wear)
Engine work including replacing alternators/starters, drive cams, brakes, springs, s- cams, u- joints, etc
conduct MIg/Stick welding as needed (welding on mud flaps and brackets)
use a torch and grinder as needed
use laptop to hook up engine and troubleshoot/diagnose issues
track work through internal transman (TMT) software

Job Requirements:

1+ years' experience performing maintenance on semis, tractors, trailers, or farming equipment (or applicable schooling)
Ability to troubleshoot equipment via laptop
Ability to MIG/Stick Weld
Experience working with clutches, brakes, wheel seals, suspension, etc
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consitently
High school diploma or GED

Class A: lead experience, and all around tractor/trailer mechanic
Class B: Diagnose engine/trailer problems, can sinc with laptop, diagnose electrical problems (horn, lights,), can work on suspesnion, S-Cams, U-Joints, trailer mechanic.
Class C: right out of school or at least 1 years' experience. Can perform basic PM's on trailers (change tires, light brake work).
Ability to us a computer (enter jobs, Microsoft office applications)

Pluses Include:
ASE brake certification
Formal education (truck, diesel, auto)
Reefer/Refrigerated truck experience
