Role and Responsibilities

Communicate clear instructions to team members.
Responsible for ensuring department procedures are being followed.
Provide daily directions and communication to co-workers so that orders are being picked, packed and shipped accurately.
Listen to team member’s feedback and communicate that feedback with the shipping manager.
Responsible for suggesting and implementing methods to improve efficiency in shipping department.
Ensure co-workers have appropriate training and other resources to perform their jobs.
Work directly with shipping manager to ensure the shipping department runs smoothly.
Perform final quality control check on all shipped orders to make sure they meet Therafin and customer specifications.
Oversee all international paperwork for accuracy.
Ensure RA’s (return authorizations) are completed within 2 days of receiving.
Backup for receiving operations. Receive in vendor materials , products and ensure items are placed in correct locations and paperwork is completed accurately.
Work with shipping manager to help maintain a high-quality and credible work environment you and your co-workers are motivated to perform at your highest level.
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or record-keeping purposes.
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to specifications.
Pick, pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list.
Able to operate forklift

Job Requirements:

Must have previous experience pick/packing and shipping product
Must have previous experience operating forklift
Must have previous experience using UPS, Fed Ex and DHL shipping software
