Job Description:

Must assist the DC Manager or any manager he/she is reporting to for the overall performance of the warehouse and customer service. The Supervisor plans, organizes, help staff, directs, and controls the warehouse and customer service activities. Training and motivation of the workforce are key responsibilities. The Supervisor is accountable for achieving company objectives in regard to safe work place, properly trained work force, labor cost efficiency, employee productivity, customer service and efficient storage.
OPERATIONS
Oversee warehouse and customer service employees to meet the goals for each customer. Supervises activities of loading and unloading products from trucks and or performing any handling or value-added function for our customer. Ensuring that employees follow the work instructions of the BOL, and receiving. Operate in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes, OSHA requirements and Federal Labor law and requirements.
LABOR MANAGEMENT
Maintain a productive team by hiring, training, motivating, effective communication, directing the work force in the most efficient way as well as discipline of employees. Utilize the performance evaluation system for promotions, wage increases, and terminations. Must have a productivity program in place and track all performance to evaluate employees properly.
EQUIPMENT/FACILITIES
Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition, properly maintained and all safety equipment is being used. Must have proper documentation and employee involvement to achieve this properly. Make sure that all employees are trained properly on the equipment and they are operating it correctly. The security of the facility and integrity of customer products is mandatory.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Supervise customer service employees to assure the office and warehouse are working in unison to provide 100 percent customer satisfaction for all shipments and receipts. Inventory accuracy must be maintained by product and location. All accounts must be given proper priority levels that allows for required level of operations, administrative support including handling special requests.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities could be limited to warehouse employees and customer service representatives, and/or expanded to include maintenance and transportation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Four years distribution supervisory/management experience leading a staff of 10+ employees in operations of at least 70,000 sq. ft. Experience with WMS, metric-driven operations, labor management. College degree not required. HAZMAT exp. preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to perform calculations involving adding, counting, subtracting, division and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY Be able to listen to employee's needs and concerns and be able to motivate and create teams.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Pass written & obstacle course for Fork truck Certification.
