Job Description:

2nd shift Supervisor Position with United Facilities in Wilmington, IL:

Wed-Sat, 2:30pm-1am

SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates activities in the warehouse including inbound, outbound, staging, and loading of orders to meet production schedules. Performs supervisory duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs supervisory duties such as assigning and reviewing work, updating procedures, resolving issues, etc. Trains personnel on an ongoing basis. Provides input for performance reviews. Fills out timesheets and figures employee production. Advises the next shift supervisor of current work status. Answers employee’s questions and provide direction.

Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain data such as inbound and outbound loads, specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations. Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for completing orders.

Prepares operational schedules and coordinates operational activities to ensure production and quality meets specifications. Reviews outbound orders to ensure quantity and product are correct. Makes corrections as needed.

Checks bays for incorrect placement of cubes.

Investigates Warehouse Management System problems.

Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

Meets with employees on a daily basis and provides productivity information. Attends seminars as schedules. Motivates staff to perform at highest efficiency.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED; plus two years experience as a team leader; and a minimum of twelve hours of college classes; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to work 1st and 3rd shift when needed to fill in for vacation coverage.
